One class we didn't hit, due to scheduling conflicts was AB4564 - Autodesk® Revit® for Presentations: Graphics That “Pop”
I knew it was going to be good, simply because of the speakers (David Light & Jason Grant). But I'm absolutely blown away by the materials Jason recently posted to his blog.
David and Jason not only put together a fantastic presentation, but they are sharing all of the families and source Revit files used to create the graphics. Which is obviously even more impressive!
That includes:
- Slick 2D Entourage
- Filter/Visibility Tricks
- 3D Trees with varying LOD based on view settings (fine/medium/coarse)
- Line-based families for traffic mapping, wayfinding, etc.
- Cartographic families
- Generic Tagging Families
- Tips & Tricks Solar Studies, Ambient Lighting/Shadows, etc.
We’re looking at some slick ways of using this @ Gilbane for
our own site logistics planning exercises, documentation and presentation
practices and thought I’d share it with everyone who may not have seen this blip pop up via twitter.
